About the Role: As a Resident Medical Officer in the ICU, you will play a crucial role in patient care and management, ensuring high standards of medical practice.
What You'll Be Doing: - Reporting on time for duty. - Accompanying consultants on rounds and managing patients not seen by them. - Writing proper notes for new admissions and completing initial assessment forms. - Updating the investigation sheet daily. - Documenting provisional diagnoses for each patient. - Providing detailed handovers to the relieving doctor. - Responding promptly to patient issues and informing the Unit In-charge when necessary. - Remaining in the ward/emergency department until the relieving doctor arrives. - Ensuring all consent forms are properly filled and explained to attendants. - Monitoring patients post-procedure and ensuring their stability during investigations. - Communicating urgent referrals for opinion/management appropriately. - Being aware of high alert medications. - Ensuring all files are complete as per MRD requirements.
