About the Role: As an Intensivist at Medway Hospitals, you will play a crucial role in managing critically ill patients in the ICU, ensuring their safety and well-being.
What You'll Be Doing: - Manage critically ill patients in ICU, including those on ventilators, dialysis, and life support. - Perform and supervise procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, and arterial cannulation. - Monitor vitals, lab results, imaging, and modify treatment protocols as needed. - Lead the ICU team including junior doctors, nurses, and allied health staff. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic patient management. - Ensure compliance with ICU protocols, infection control, and safety standards. - Respond to emergencies and lead resuscitation/code blue efforts. - Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation and progress notes.
