About the Role: As a Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating patients, ensuring high-quality patient care.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients, performing physical exams and gathering medical histories.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging studies.
- Provide patient education on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and other treatments as prescribed by the supervising physician.
- Perform minor surgical procedures under the supervision of a physician.
- Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary in collaboration with physicians.
- Take and record patients' vital signs and maintain accurate patient medical records.
- Counsel patients on lifestyle changes, including diet, exercise, and mental health management.
- Assist in emergency procedures and provide acute care as needed.
