About the Role: As a Clinical Assistant in Radiation Oncology, you will play a vital role in providing medical cover and ensuring patient safety during treatment.
What You'll Be Doing: - Provide routine and emergency medical cover during hours of duty. - Follow clinical safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols. - Participate in teaching programs for postgraduate students and RMOs. - Identify complex health problems and report to the concerned doctor. - Supervise postgraduate students and assist consultants in planning radiation treatment. - Assess patients before and after radiation therapy procedures. - Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare workers. - Write treatment sheets with diagnosis and ensure proper documentation. - Assist consultants during rounds and follow up on patient care. - Prepare discharge summaries and assess new patient admissions. - Adhere to on-call and duty rota as per departmental requirements. - Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and protocols.
