About the Role: As an Optometrist at Dr Kamakshi Multispeciality Hospital, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive eye care to our patients.
What You'll Be Doing: - Speak to patients to get detailed case histories. - Examine patients' eyes to detect signs of injury, disease, abnormality, or vision defects. - Be aware of signs and symptoms of general health conditions (e.g., diabetes). - Fit spectacles or contact lenses. - Offer advice and reassurance about vision-related matters. - Assist patients in choosing frames and lenses. - Write referral letters to doctors. - Liaise with other medical practitioners and share care of patients with chronic ophthalmic conditions. - Conduct routine eye examinations, including visual field tests. - Prescribe corrective lenses when required. - Evaluate eye-related symptoms such as redness, discharge, and inflammation. - Educate patients on proper eye care.
