About the Role: As a Registrar in Interventional Small Bowel Transplant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing patient care through advanced surgical techniques.
What You'll Be Doing: - Performing surgery to implant organs such as intestines and other vital organs. - Maintaining awareness of the latest developments in transplantation techniques and technologies. - Discussing the risks and benefits of a transplant with patients and their families. - Performing biopsies of donor organs to check for signs of disease or damage. - Educating patients about their treatment plan and post-surgery care. - Conducting tests to determine if the patient is healthy enough for a transplant. - Performing surgery to remove organs from deceased donors. - Implanting organs into patients who have undergone organ failure.
