About the Role: As a Consultant Gastroenterologist, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and treating patients with gastrointestinal conditions, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care.
What You'll Be Doing: - Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients with gastrointestinal symptoms or conditions. - Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, imaging studies, and laboratory tests. - Developing individualized treatment plans for patients based on their diagnosis and medical history. - Performing procedures such as endoscopic mucosal resection, polypectomy, and biopsy. - Monitoring patients' progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary. - Collaborating with other medical specialists to provide multidisciplinary care. - Educating patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and preventive measures. - Participating in research activities and staying abreast of developments in the field of gastroenterology. - Providing guidance and supervision to junior medical staff. - Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
