About the Role: As a Consultant Gastro Surgeon, you will play a crucial role in performing a wide range of gastrointestinal surgeries, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing: - Perform gastrointestinal surgeries including colectomies, gastrectomies, and hernia repairs using open and minimally invasive techniques. - Conduct preoperative consultations to discuss treatment options and obtain informed consent. - Evaluate patients' medical histories and diagnostic results to develop individualized treatment plans. - Collaborate with specialists to provide comprehensive care for complex gastrointestinal conditions. - Provide perioperative care to ensure optimal surgical outcomes and patient recovery. - Participate in departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives. - Supervise and train surgical residents and fellows in surgical techniques. - Engage in academic activities, including teaching and clinical research. - Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulatory standards. - Demonstrate professionalism and compassion in all patient interactions.
