Make a Difference in Patient Care: As a Cardiac Anesthetic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
How You'll Contribute: - Evaluate the patient’s medical history, physical condition, and diagnostic reports to determine anesthesia plans. - Discuss potential risks, benefits, and anesthesia options with patients and their families. - Optimize the patient’s condition before surgery by managing comorbidities such as hypertension or diabetes. - Use advanced equipment, such as transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), to assess cardiac function intraoperatively. - Collaborate with the surgical team to address complications that may arise during procedures. - Manage patients in the immediate postoperative period in the ICU or recovery room. - Ensure smooth recovery from anesthesia and manage postoperative pain effectively. - Monitor patients for complications such as arrhythmias, hemodynamic instability, or respiratory distress.
