Make a Difference in Patient Care: As a Consultant Hepatologist, you will play a crucial role in managing liver health and improving patient outcomes.
How You'll Contribute: - Perform advanced procedures, such as liver biopsies, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and FibroScan. - Oversee pre- and post-operative management of liver transplant patients in collaboration with transplant surgeons. - Manage complications of portal hypertension and advanced liver failure. - Conduct detailed clinical assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, imaging studies, and laboratory evaluations. - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic liver conditions. - Counsel patients and their families about the nature of the disease, treatment options, lifestyle modifications, and prognosis. - Provide follow-up care and monitor patient progress to ensure optimal health outcomes. - Work closely with gastroenterologists, transplant surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, dietitians, and other specialists. - Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions for complex cases requiring integrated care, such as liver transplantation or cancer management.
