About the Role: As a Consultant in Critical Care, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to critically ill patients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
What You'll Be Doing: - Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients, including monitoring, diagnosing, and managing complex conditions. - Oversee the care of patients with life-threatening conditions, including respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, septic shock, and multi-organ failure. - Lead the decision-making process for intensive treatments such as ventilation, dialysis, and resuscitation. - Supervise and guide junior doctors, residents, and nursing staff in ICU protocols and patient care procedures. - Respond to emergency calls and attend to critically ill patients across the hospital. - Actively participate in emergency resuscitation and management, including trauma, cardiac arrest, and acute respiratory distress. - Perform high-level procedures such as endotracheal intubation, central line insertion, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring. - Work collaboratively with specialists from various departments to provide comprehensive care. - Coordinate with surgical teams for perioperative care and post-surgical critical management. - Participate in case discussions, rounds, and multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and update treatment plans.
