Make a Difference in Patient Care: As a Radiation Oncologist, you will play a crucial role in assessing and treating patients with cancer through advanced radiation therapies.
How You'll Contribute: - Assess patients through medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic imaging to determine the suitability of radiation therapy. - Develop personalized radiation treatment plans using external beam radiation therapy (EBRT), brachytherapy, and other advanced radiation techniques. - Collaborate with medical physicists and dosimetrists to ensure accurate radiation dose delivery. - Monitor patients during and after treatment, managing side effects and adjusting therapy as needed. - Stay updated on advancements in radiation oncology, including stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), and proton therapy. - Educate patients and their families about radiation treatment, potential side effects, and post-treatment care.
