Make a Difference in Patient Care: As an Onco Surgeon GI, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and diagnosing patients with gastrointestinal cancers, performing complex oncological surgeries, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide personalized treatment plans.
How You'll Contribute: - Evaluate and diagnose patients with GI cancers through imaging, biopsy, and endoscopic assessments. - Perform oncological surgeries, including esophagectomy, gastrectomy, hepatectomy, Whipple procedure, colectomy, and rectal cancer resections. - Employ minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgical techniques where applicable. - Work closely with gastroenterologists and hepatologists in managing complex GI oncology cases. - Participate in tumor board discussions for personalized cancer treatment planning. - Ensure proper preoperative and postoperative care, including patient recovery, nutritional management, and post-surgical follow-ups. - Educate patients and families about cancer treatment options, risks, and recovery expectations.
