About the Role: As a Physician Assistant-CVTS, you will play a crucial role in patient care, assisting in various cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures.
What You'll Be Doing: - Conduct patient assessments and pre-surgical evaluations. - Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as ECG, echocardiography, and blood tests. - Assist in pre-surgical planning and patient education regarding procedures. - Assist CVTS surgeons during open-heart, vascular, and thoracic surgeries. - Perform vein harvesting for coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). - Operate and monitor surgical equipment, including heart-lung machines. - Monitor post-op patients in ICU and wards for complications. - Assist in ventilator management and critical care interventions. - Support pain management, wound care, and early rehabilitation.
