About the Role: As a Consultant in Gastroenterology, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating disorders of the digestive system, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
What You'll Be Doing: - Diagnose and treat disorders of the digestive system, including the esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, and pancreas. - Perform diagnostic procedures such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, and capsule endoscopy. - Develop and implement treatment plans, including medications, lifestyle modifications, and surgical referrals if needed. - Manage chronic conditions like GERD, IBS, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and liver disorders. - Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, and other specialists for comprehensive patient care. - Monitor and follow up with patients to assess treatment effectiveness and disease progression. - Ensure compliance with medical guidelines, safety protocols, and ethical standards. - Supervise and mentor junior doctors, fellows, and medical staff in gastroenterology practices. - Participate in research, case discussions, and continuous medical education programs. - Stay updated with advancements in gastroenterology and incorporate best practices into patient care.
