About the Role: As an Ophthalmology Tutor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of medical professionals by imparting knowledge on eye anatomy, physiology, and common ophthalmic diseases.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students through lectures and clinical demonstrations.
- Explain key concepts in refraction, cataracts, glaucoma, retinal disorders, corneal diseases, and neuro-ophthalmology.
- Conduct bedside teaching in ophthalmology wards, outpatient clinics, and operation theaters.
- Guide students in clinical case presentations, ophthalmic examination techniques, and treatment planning.
- Prepare teaching materials, case studies, and assessment tools for student evaluation.
- Supervise practical training sessions, ensuring students develop skills in visual acuity testing, slit-lamp examination, fundoscopy, and tonometry.
- Stay updated with advancements in ophthalmic surgery, laser treatments, and diagnostic imaging techniques.
- Provide academic mentorship and support to students struggling with ophthalmology concepts.
- Participate in curriculum planning, syllabus updates, and interdisciplinary teaching initiatives.
- Engage in faculty development programs, departmental meetings, and student assessment activities.
