About the Role: As a Surgical Oncology Specialist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and managing patients with tumors requiring surgical intervention.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Diagnose and manage patients with benign and malignant tumors requiring surgical intervention.
- Plan and perform complex oncologic surgeries, including resections, reconstructions, and minimally invasive procedures.
- Conduct preoperative assessments, staging, and multidisciplinary treatment planning with oncology teams.
- Provide postoperative care, monitor for complications, and manage recovery of surgical oncology patients.
- Collaborate with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists for comprehensive cancer care.
- Counsel patients and families on surgical options, risks, and postoperative care.
- Supervise and mentor junior surgeons, residents, and allied healthcare staff in the surgical oncology department.
- Maintain accurate operative records, documentation, and follow-up data.
