About the Role: As a Consultant in General Anesthesia, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients undergoing surgical procedures.
What You'll Be Doing: - Responsible for pre and post-operative care of all cases in the unit. - Manage complete care of ICU patients and report to the Senior Consultant of the Day. - Be available for emergency calls from the O.T. and ICU. - Lead teaching and training programs for O.T. nurses, technicians, and ICU staff. - Ensure organization of the O.T. list in collaboration with the Senior Consultant. - Supervise nursing and para-medical staff to maintain high standards of medical care. - Coordinate infrastructure and maintenance support, and selection of medical consumables. - Assist the Head of Department/Medical Director with special material management requirements. - Ensure quality performance and optimum resource utilization in the department. - Address patient complaints and ensure adherence to MHC protocols. - Participate actively in CME, journal clubs, and conferences. - Oversee CSSD services and participate in the hospital's infection control program. - Be a leading member of the trauma and critical care team. - Conduct rounds in IPD & ICU with resident doctors and nursing staff, monitoring admitted patients. - Advise resident doctors on medication management and additional treatments as necessary.
