About the Role: As a Senior Resident in Internal Medicine, you will play a crucial role in patient care and medical education.
What You'll Be Doing: - Accompany a seasoned Internist on daily patient visits. - Mentor Medical Students, as needed. - Seek advice from the Internists in diagnosing patients and develop treatment plans. - Order diagnostic tests for patients under the supervision of an Internist. - Accurately chart patient behavior and treatment plans. - Explain in layman's terms all in-office procedures, drugs, and diagnoses to patients and family members. - Prescribe appropriate drugs to patients, as treatment plans dictate. - Write referrals to specialists for patients, as treatment plans dictate.
