About the Role: As a Registrar in Interventional Bone Marrow Transplant, you will play a crucial role in performing surgeries and ensuring the best outcomes for patients in need of organ transplants.
What You'll Be Doing: - Performing surgery to implant organs such as hearts, livers, kidneys, lungs, intestines, pancreases, and bone marrow cells. - Maintaining awareness of the latest developments in transplantation techniques and technologies. - Discussing the risks and benefits of a transplant with patients and their families. - Performing biopsies of donor organs to check for signs of disease or damage. - Educating patients about their treatment plan and post-surgery care. - Performing tests such as biopsies, blood tests, x-rays, and MRIs to determine if the patient is healthy enough for a transplant. - Performing surgery to remove organs from deceased donors. - Performing surgery to implant organs into patients who have undergone organ failure or who have other conditions that require organ transplants.
