Your Core Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough eye examinations, interpret diagnostic tests, and diagnose various eye conditions and diseases. - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescription of glasses, contact lenses, and medications. - Perform a range of eye surgeries, such as cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, refractive surgery (e.g., LASIK), and retinal surgery. - Utilize laser procedures for conditions like photocoagulation. - Perform refraction tests to determine accurate prescriptions for glasses or contact lenses. - Advise patients on vision correction options. - Communicate effectively with patients, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and surgical procedures in a clear and compassionate manner. - Provide counseling and support to patients facing vision-related challenges. - Collaborate with optometrists, primary care physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive eye care. - Work closely with surgical teams for preoperative and postoperative management.
