About the Role: As a Senior Resident in Nuclear Medicine, you will play a crucial role in conducting and interpreting advanced nuclear imaging studies, contributing to accurate diagnostics and patient care.
What You'll Be Doing: - Conduct and interpret nuclear medicine imaging studies, including PET scans, SPECT scans, and other nuclear imaging modalities. - Collaborate with radiologists and other physicians to provide accurate diagnostic information. - Evaluate and assess patients to determine the appropriate nuclear medicine procedures. - Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure care, including explaining procedures to patients and addressing their concerns. - Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients and ensure proper handling and disposal of radioactive materials. - Monitor patients during and after procedures to assess their reactions and overall well-being. - Implement and maintain quality control measures for nuclear medicine equipment and procedures. - Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and radiation safety protocols. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including radiologists, oncologists, and referring physicians. - Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss and plan patient care.
