About the Role: As a Consultant in Ophthalmology, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating various eye conditions, ensuring the highest quality of patient care.
What You'll Be Doing: - Conduct thorough eye examinations to diagnose and treat various eye conditions. - Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging results. - Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients with eye disorders. - Prescribe medications, eyeglasses, contact lenses, or other appropriate interventions. - Perform surgical interventions for conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, and refractive surgery. - Stay updated on the latest surgical techniques and technologies. - Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-operative care. - Address patient concerns and questions. - Work collaboratively with optometrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care. - Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
