About the Role: As a Visiting Medical Oncologist, you will play a crucial role in the treatment and care of cancer patients, ensuring they receive the best possible outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing: - Meet with patients to review medical histories, perform physical examinations, and discuss diagnosis and treatment options. - Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans for cancer patients, incorporating various modalities like chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormonal therapy. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including surgeons, radiation oncologists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care. - Oversee the administration of chemotherapy and other systemic therapies, monitoring patients for side effects and adjusting treatment plans as needed. - Provide ongoing follow-up care to monitor the patient's response to treatment, manage side effects, and address any emerging issues. - Participate in clinical trials and research studies to contribute to the advancement of cancer treatment. - Educate patients and their families about their diagnosis, treatment options, and potential side effects.
