Make a Difference in Patient Care: As a Medical Oncologist at CARE CHL Hospitals, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients, ensuring they receive the best possible care.
How You'll Contribute: - Conduct thorough consultations with patients to obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations. - Discuss treatment options, potential side effects, and expected outcomes with patients and their families. - Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including biopsies, imaging studies, and laboratory tests, to determine the type and stage of cancer. - Collaborate with pathologists, radiologists, and other specialists in the diagnostic process. - Develop individualized treatment plans for cancer patients, incorporating surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and/or radiation therapy as appropriate. - Collaborate with surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive care. - Administer chemotherapy and other systemic treatments. - Monitor patients for treatment response and manage treatment-related side effects. - Participate in and oversee clinical trials, offering eligible patients opportunities to access innovative treatments. - Stay informed about ongoing research and contribute to advancements in cancer care.
