About the Role: As a Consultant Neurologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating various neurological conditions, ensuring optimal patient care.
What You'll Be Doing: - Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments of patients, including medical history review, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic tests. - Diagnose and treat various neurological conditions such as epilepsy, stroke, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, neuropathies, and headaches. - Develop individualized treatment plans for patients, incorporating medication management, lifestyle modifications, and other therapeutic interventions. - Perform procedures such as lumbar punctures, electromyography (EMG), nerve conduction studies, and botulinum toxin injections as needed. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes. - Provide consultations to other healthcare providers and participate in multidisciplinary case conferences. - Stay abreast of advancements in the field of neurology through continuing medical education, participation in conferences, and review of current literature. - Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, including residents, fellows, and medical students.
