About the Role: As a Pathologist at Axis Hospital and Research Center, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing diseases through microscopic examination and analysis of tissue specimens.
What You'll Be Doing: - Perform microscopic examination and analysis of tissue specimens, cytology samples, and body fluids to diagnose diseases, including cancer, infections, and autoimmune conditions. - Interpret laboratory tests, including immunohistochemistry, molecular diagnostics, and other ancillary studies, to aid in the diagnosis and classification of diseases. - Provide accurate and timely diagnostic reports to referring physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals, conveying findings and recommendations clearly and concisely. - Consult with clinicians, surgeons, and other members of the healthcare team to correlate pathology findings with clinical presentations, imaging studies, and patient history. - Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, tumor boards, and case conferences to discuss complex cases, formulate treatment plans, and optimize patient care. - Contribute to research and academic activities, including teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and conducting research projects in collaboration with academic institutions. - Participate in quality assurance activities, including monitoring laboratory processes, evaluating test results, and implementing corrective actions to ensure accuracy and reliability of diagnostic testing. - Stay updated on advances in pathology, including new diagnostic techniques, emerging biomarkers, and molecular diagnostics, through continuous education and professional development.
