Make a Difference in Patient Care: As a Consultant CTVS, you will play a crucial role in evaluating patients' medical histories and performing complex cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries.
How You'll Contribute: - Evaluate patients' medical histories, perform physical examinations, and diagnose cardiac and vascular conditions. - Perform complex cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries, such as coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), heart valve repair or replacement, thoracic aortic surgery, and vascular reconstructions. - Conduct thorough preoperative assessments to assess patients' surgical risks and develop individualized treatment plans. - Manage surgical procedures, including anesthesia, tissue dissection, surgical repair, and hemodynamic monitoring. - Monitor patients' recovery in intensive care units (ICUs) or post-anesthesia care units (PACUs), manage pain relief, and address post-surgical complications. - Provide clinical leadership and guidance to surgical teams, including residents, fellows, nurses, and support staff. - Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, risks, and postoperative care instructions. - Participate in clinical research, publish findings, and contribute to medical education and training programs for residents and medical students.
