About the Role: As an Associate Consultant in Radiation Oncology, you will play a crucial role in assessing and treating cancer patients, ensuring they receive the best possible care.
What You'll Be Doing: - Assess and evaluate cancer patients to determine eligibility for radiation therapy. - Develop and implement individualized radiation treatment plans based on patient-specific factors and disease characteristics. - Monitor and manage patients during the course of radiation therapy, including addressing treatment-related side effects and complications. - Utilize advanced radiation therapy techniques (e.g., IMRT, IGRT, SBRT) to optimize treatment outcomes. - Collaborate with medical physicists and dosimetrists in treatment planning and quality assurance. - Work closely with medical oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care. - Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and treatment planning meetings. - Educate and supervise medical students, residents, and junior medical staff. - Provide clinical instruction and guidance on radiation oncology principles and practices. - Participate in academic and research activities within the department.
