About the Role: As a Registrar in Radiation Oncology, you will play a crucial role in assessing and managing cancer patients, contributing to their treatment journey.
What You'll Be Doing: - Assess and evaluate cancer patients to determine suitability for radiation therapy. - Assist in the development and implementation of radiation treatment plans under the supervision of senior staff. - Monitor and manage patients during the course of radiation therapy, including assessing treatment response and managing side effects. - Participate in treatment planning discussions and assist in the execution of radiation therapy plans. - Learn and apply advanced radiation therapy techniques (e.g., IMRT, IGRT, SBRT) under supervision. - Collaborate with medical oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals in multidisciplinary tumor boards and treatment planning meetings. - Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans and progress. - Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities, including treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes. - Contribute to maintaining patient records and databases in compliance with departmental protocols and regulatory standards.
