About the Role: As a Psychiatrist at PACE, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating mental health disorders, making a significant impact on patient care.
What You'll Be Doing: - Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to diagnose mental health disorders based on DSM-5 criteria. - Formulate accurate treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and circumstances. - Develop and implement effective treatment strategies, including medication management, psychotherapy, and other therapeutic interventions. - Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient response, side effects, and therapeutic outcomes. - Provide psychotherapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, supportive therapy, and other evidence-based modalities. - Foster a therapeutic alliance and collaborate with patients to address emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal challenges. - Prescribe psychotropic medications judiciously, considering efficacy, safety, and patient preferences. - Educate patients and caregivers about medication usage, potential side effects, and adherence to treatment regimens. - Assess and manage psychiatric emergencies, including suicidal ideation, acute psychosis, and severe mood disturbances. - Implement crisis intervention strategies to stabilize patients in acute distress and ensure their safety.
