Make a Difference in Patient Care: As a Resident in Gi and Bariatric Surgery, you will play a crucial role in improving the health and well-being of patients with gastrointestinal disorders and obesity.
How You'll Contribute: - Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with gastrointestinal disorders, obesity, and related conditions. - Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, which may include surgical interventions, dietary modifications, and lifestyle counseling. - Manage postoperative care and recovery, including monitoring patients' progress, managing complications, and providing follow-up care. - Collaborate closely with gastroenterologists, nutritionists, endocrinologists, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care. - Engage in clinical research, participate in academic activities, and contribute to the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows. - Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, outcomes, and surgical practices.
