About the Role: As a Resident Surgical Oncologist, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients, utilizing advanced surgical techniques to improve patient outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing: - Conduct thorough clinical evaluations and diagnostic tests to determine the stage and extent of cancer in patients. - Develop comprehensive treatment plans, including surgical interventions, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and targeted therapy, based on cancer type, stage, and patient health. - Perform surgical procedures to remove tumors, lymph nodes, and other affected tissues using advanced surgical techniques. - Coordinate with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, and other specialists to provide integrated care for cancer patients. - Monitor patients' progress throughout treatment, manage post-operative care, and address complications or adverse reactions to treatment. - Participate in clinical research studies, trials, and academic activities to advance knowledge in surgical oncology and improve patient outcomes. - Provide education and mentorship to medical students, residents, and healthcare professionals on surgical techniques, cancer treatment modalities, and patient care.
