About the Role: As a Consultant Gastroenterologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with gastrointestinal disorders, ensuring comprehensive care and support.
What You'll Be Doing: - Conduct detailed evaluations of patients with gastrointestinal symptoms and conditions. - Perform thorough medical history reviews, physical examinations, and interpret diagnostic tests. - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), liver disease, and gastrointestinal cancers. - Prescribe medications, dietary modifications, and other interventions as appropriate. - Perform and interpret endoscopic procedures (e.g., esophagogastroduodenoscopy, colonoscopy) and related interventions. - Conduct other diagnostic procedures such as liver biopsies, capsule endoscopy, and manometry studies. - Provide comprehensive care, addressing the physical, emotional, and lifestyle aspects of gastrointestinal disorders. - Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
