About the Role: As a Senior Registrar in General Surgery, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality surgical care to patients. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and enhance the surgical team's effectiveness.
What You'll Be Doing: - Perform a range of general surgical procedures, including elective and emergency surgeries. - Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments, including patient history, physical examinations, and necessary diagnostic tests. - Develop individualized surgical care plans in collaboration with consultants. - Ensure proper post-operative care, including monitoring for complications, pain management, and wound care. - Manage patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including follow-up visits to monitor recovery and address any concerns. - Respond to surgical emergencies, providing rapid assessment and treatment, including trauma care and acute abdomen cases. - Participate in on-call duties, being available to manage urgent and emergency surgical cases. - Lead the surgical team in emergency situations, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
