About the Role: As a Jr. Consultant in Critical Care, you will play a vital role in assessing and treating critically ill patients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
What You'll Be Doing: - Assess, diagnose, and treat critically ill patients, including those with multi-system organ failure, trauma, and severe medical conditions. - Monitor and manage patients’ vital signs, laboratory results, and response to treatment. - Provide and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical findings. - Assist in or perform critical care procedures, such as intubation, central line placement, and chest tube insertion, under the supervision of senior consultants. - Ensure the safe and effective use of medical equipment and technology in the ICU. - Participate in daily rounds with the senior consulting team to review patient cases, discuss treatment plans, and update care strategies. - Communicate effectively with patients’ families about treatment plans, progress, and potential outcomes. - Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists, to provide comprehensive care. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address complex patient needs and improve care delivery.
