About the Role: As a Senior Resident in the ICU, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and enhancing the learning experience of junior residents and medical students.
What You'll Be Doing: - Conduct detailed patient evaluations, including physical examinations, history taking, and diagnostic procedures. - Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs, ICU protocols, and evidence-based practices. - Perform and assist with complex procedures commonly required in critical care, such as central line placements, intubations, and emergency resuscitation. - Supervise and mentor junior residents, medical students, and other trainees, providing guidance in critical care practices and clinical skills. - Facilitate educational sessions, case discussions, and practical demonstrations for the ICU team. - Ensure adherence to ICU protocols and quality standards in patient care and safety. - Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including data collection, outcome analysis, and implementation of best practices. - Collaborate with attending physicians, specialists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care for ICU patients. - Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans, prognosis, and care decisions.
