Make a Difference in Patient Care: As a Senior Resident in Emergency Medicine, you will play a crucial role in providing immediate care to patients in critical conditions.
How You'll Contribute: - Provide prompt assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute illnesses, injuries, and trauma cases in the ED. - Perform advanced life support procedures, including intubation, central line insertion, defibrillation, and more. - Lead resuscitation efforts in critical cases such as cardiac arrest, severe trauma, or shock. - Supervise and guide junior residents, medical students, and interns in managing patient care. - Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and best practices. - Conduct bedside teaching and provide feedback on clinical skills and decision-making. - Perform emergency interventions such as airway management, suturing, fracture reduction, thoracostomy, and lumbar puncture. - Ensure proficiency in the use of point-of-care diagnostic tools such as ultrasound and electrocardiograms (ECGs). - Coordinate care with other departments (radiology, surgery, ICU, etc.) to facilitate smooth transitions for patients requiring specialized care.
