About the Role: As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating mental health disorders, making a significant impact on patient care.
What You'll Be Doing: - Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments based on DSM-5 criteria. - Formulate accurate treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. - Develop and implement effective treatment strategies, including medication management and psychotherapy. - Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient response and outcomes. - Provide psychotherapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and supportive therapy. - Collaborate with patients to address emotional and interpersonal challenges. - Prescribe psychotropic medications judiciously, considering efficacy and safety. - Educate patients and caregivers about medication usage and adherence. - Assess and manage psychiatric emergencies, including suicidal ideation. - Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure patient safety.
