About the Role: As a General Surgeon, you will play a crucial role in performing a variety of surgical procedures that significantly impact patient health and recovery.
What You'll Be Doing: - Perform a wide range of surgical procedures, including appendectomies, cholecystectomies, hernia repairs, and bowel resections. - Operate on patients to treat conditions related to the abdomen, digestive tract, skin, breast, soft tissue, and trauma injuries. - Utilize minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopic surgery when appropriate. - Ensure all surgeries are carried out with the highest standards of care, safety, and hygiene. - Collaborate with anaesthesiologists, nurses, and other medical professionals to ensure the smooth execution of surgeries. - Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments, including patient history, risk analysis, and diagnosis to determine the need for surgery. - Develop individualized surgical plans, explaining procedures, risks, and recovery expectations to patients and their families. - Monitor patients’ recovery post-surgery, ensuring proper wound care, pain management, and rehabilitation. - Address complications that may arise during or after surgery, including reoperations if necessary. - Work closely with other healthcare providers to develop a comprehensive post-operative care plan for patients.
