About the Role: As a Radiology Registrar, you will play a crucial role in diagnostic imaging procedures, contributing to patient care and treatment plans.
What You'll Be Doing: - Perform and assist in diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasound under supervision. - Assist in the interpretation of imaging results to support diagnosis and treatment plans, ensuring accuracy and clarity in reporting. - Work with radiologists to identify abnormalities and provide initial assessments of images. - Assist Consultant Radiologists in interventional radiology procedures, including biopsies, catheter placements, and image-guided surgeries. - Provide patient management during invasive radiological procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort. - Contribute to the preparation, setup, and clean-up of interventional radiology procedures. - Conduct pre-procedure assessments and explain imaging or interventional procedures to patients. - Ensure patient safety during imaging procedures, following all safety protocols related to radiation exposure, infection control, and patient positioning. - Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any emergencies or complications.
