About the Role: As a Registrar Neonatologist, you will provide high-quality care to newborns, particularly those requiring intensive medical attention.
What You'll Be Doing: - Provide high-quality care to newborns, especially premature infants and those needing intensive medical attention. - Perform diagnostic assessments, interpret test results, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the consultant neonatologist. - Administer specialized medical treatments, including respiratory support and medication administration. - Monitor newborns' health status, making immediate decisions for emergency interventions and routine care. - Participate in rounds with the multidisciplinary NICU team to discuss patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary. - Perform and assist with specialized procedures such as intubation and lumbar puncture. - Provide counseling and emotional support to parents and families regarding the infant’s condition and care plans. - Ensure accurate documentation of patient histories and treatment plans.
