About the Role: As a Ward Duty Doctor, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive medical care to inpatients, ensuring their health and well-being.
What You'll Be Doing: - Provide medical care to inpatients, conducting daily rounds to monitor patient progress. - Diagnose and treat medical conditions based on patient history, physical exams, and diagnostic results. - Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by specialists or consultants. - Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure timely care and effective treatment plans. - Keep accurate and detailed medical records for all patients, documenting treatments, progress, and any changes in condition. - Provide timely updates to patients' families regarding their condition and treatment plan. - Respond to emergencies and medical complications in the ward, coordinating with specialists as needed. - Supervise and support junior doctors, interns, and medical staff in patient care activities. - Ensure patient safety and comfort by addressing concerns, monitoring conditions, and preventing medical errors. - Adhere to hospital policies, medical ethics, and infection control guidelines to ensure quality care.
