About the Role: As a Registrar in Pediatrics, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to pediatric patients across various settings.
What You'll Be Doing: - Provide initial assessment, diagnosis, and management of pediatric patients in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings. - Perform routine medical procedures, such as cannulation, blood sampling, lumbar punctures, and vaccinations. - Assist consultants in the management of critically ill neonates and children, including ventilatory support and resuscitation. - Monitor the progress of admitted patients and update care plans in consultation with senior pediatricians. - Conduct daily ward rounds and ensure thorough documentation of clinical findings and treatment plans. - Provide follow-up care for patients discharged from the hospital and those attending outpatient clinics. - Attend to pediatric emergencies and stabilize patients as per established protocols. - Participate in pediatric resuscitation and assist in life-saving procedures. - Handle on-call responsibilities for pediatric emergencies and admissions.
