About the Role: As a General Surgeon (Visiting) at Nowrosjee Wadia Maternity Hospital, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality surgical care to patients. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and enhance the overall healthcare experience.
What You'll Be Doing: - Assess patients referred for surgical evaluation and provide expert recommendations. - Conduct elective and emergency general surgical procedures during scheduled visits. - Monitor preoperative and postoperative patient progress during follow-up visits. - Collaborate with hospital staff, including anesthesiologists, nurses, and other specialists, to ensure optimal patient care. - Evaluate diagnostic reports and create treatment plans for surgical cases. - Adhere to hospital policies, ethical standards, and medical protocols during consultations and procedures. - Mentor junior doctors or healthcare staff, providing guidance on surgical best practices. - Be on-call for emergency cases on agreed-upon days. - Maintain detailed and accurate records of consultations, procedures, and patient outcomes. - Explain surgical procedures, risks, and recovery plans to patients and their families.
