About the Role: As a Senior Resident in General Surgery, you will play a crucial role in teaching and supervising students while gaining hands-on experience in surgical techniques.
What You'll Be Doing: - Teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students in general surgery, including theory, practical sessions, and clinical rounds. - Assisting in various surgical procedures, performing surgeries under supervision, and gaining hands-on experience in surgical techniques. - Managing patients pre- and post-operatively, ensuring proper care, documentation, and follow-up. - Diagnosing and treating a wide range of surgical conditions, including trauma, abdominal, and soft tissue disorders. - Participating in emergency surgeries, on-call duties, and providing consultations in surgical cases. - Conducting research in general surgery, focusing on outcomes, techniques, and innovations in treatment. - Monitoring and evaluating students' academic progress, including clinical assessments, practical exams, and research projects. - Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care, including anesthesiology and nursing staff. - Staying updated with the latest advancements in surgical techniques, technologies, and medical practices.
