About the Role: As a Sr. Resident in Microbiology, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating infectious diseases, contributing to patient care and safety.
What You'll Be Doing: - Conduct diagnostic microbiological testing and analysis, including cultures, sensitivity testing, and identification of pathogens. - Interpret microbiological data and integrate findings with clinical information to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. - Provide consultations on complex cases involving infectious diseases and microbiological concerns. - Assist in the management of infection control practices and antimicrobial stewardship within the hospital. - Supervise and train junior residents, laboratory staff, and students in microbiological techniques and safety protocols. - Oversee the operation and maintenance of microbiology laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with quality control standards. - Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for laboratory tests and procedures. - Manage laboratory inventory, including reagents, cultures, and other supplies.
