About the Role: As a Senior Resident OBGY, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during blood collection procedures and transfusions.
What You'll Be Doing: - Perform blood collection procedures, including venipuncture and donor screening. - Process, label, and store blood and its components as per established guidelines. - Conduct blood typing, cross-matching, and compatibility testing for transfusion purposes. - Operate and maintain blood bank equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality. - Monitor and manage blood inventory to meet patient and organizational needs. - Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including proper documentation and reporting. - Perform quality control tests to ensure the safety and efficacy of blood products. - Maintain cleanliness and sterility of the lab and equipment to avoid contamination. - Educate donors on the donation process and address concerns professionally. - Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous training to improve skills and practices.
