How You'll Contribute: - Provide immediate medical treatment to patients with acute injuries or illnesses, including trauma, heart attacks, strokes, and respiratory distress. - Quickly assess the severity of patient conditions, perform physical exams, order necessary diagnostic tests, and establish diagnoses in high-pressure situations. - Administer treatments, including medications, wound care, and life-saving interventions, to stabilize patients and manage emergencies. - Perform emergency procedures such as intubation, chest compressions, suturing, and minor surgeries to stabilize patients. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care in emergency settings. - Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatments, making adjustments as needed. - Maintain accurate and timely medical records, including patient assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and any emergency procedures performed. - Arrange for patient transfers to specialized care units or other healthcare facilities when required. - Stay prepared for any emergency situation, including managing mass casualty incidents and participating in emergency response drills. - Advise patients and families on the prevention of emergencies and offer support for emotional and psychological well-being during critical situations.
