About the Role: As a Consultant in Cardiac Anesthesia, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients undergoing cardiac surgeries.
What You'll Be Doing: - Assess patients pre-operatively, reviewing their medical history and physical condition to determine anesthesia requirements. - Administer anesthesia for cardiac surgeries such as coronary artery bypass grafts, heart valve surgeries, and other complex procedures. - Monitor and adjust anesthesia levels during surgery, ensuring patient safety and appropriate response to stimuli. - Manage ventilators, invasive monitoring, and other life-support systems during surgery and recovery. - Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, and other medical professionals to optimize patient care. - Provide post-operative care, including pain management and stabilization of patients in the recovery room. - Monitor patients’ vital signs and provide critical care support during and after surgery. - Ensure proper documentation of anesthesia administration and patient progress during the procedure. - Handle emergency situations, including cardiac arrest or complications related to anesthesia, promptly and effectively.
